Meet The Staff

Jivko is the founder and principal of Velev Advisors. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the company along with a passion for providing quality service with timely and cost-effective results. Jivko has earned an Associate's Degree in Accounting from Santa Monica College and a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Sofia University, Bulgaria. His unique blend of skills in accounting, taxation, finance and investing coupled with his innate common sense and attention to details, allows him to bring clarity to otherwise complex situations and surpass our clients' expectations.

As an enrolled agent he has also earned the highest federal level credential the IRS awards. Enrolled agents, like attorneys and certified public accountants (CPAs), have unlimited practice rights. This means they are unrestricted as to which taxpayers they can represent, what types of tax matters they can handle, and which IRS offices they can represent clients before. In addition, enrolled agents must adhere to the highest ethical standards of confidentiality, honesty, integrity, and objectivity in order to retain their status.

Jivko lives in Mar Vista with his wife and daughter. In his spare time he loves spending time with friends and family, or simply working on his home DIY projects.

Rositsa is our administrative assistant and is in charge of all daily administrative functions doing bookkeeping, paying bills, and working with QuickBooks and Excel to keep things organized. In 2004 she successfully completed an accredited income tax course from H&R Block and continues to study various accounting and tax subjects to keep up with the changes in the field. Rositsa has received her Master's Degree in Computer Science from Sofia University, Bulgaria and has worked most of her adult life as an administrative assistant for small businesses and wealthy families.

Rositsa has been married to her husband Jivko since 2005 and they happily welcomed a daughter in 2010. When not working, Rositsa enjoys swimming, hiking, spending time with family and volunteering to her favorite charity - Children's Burn Foundation.
